Seasonal Tinctures/Elixirs

Tinctures are a great way to get herbs into your body.  Alcohol extracts and preserves the power of plants making them easy to use and long lasting. They are available in a 1oz or 2oz glass bottle.

Calm + Balance: A blend of herbs to sooth an upset or overworked nervous system.  Milky oats are helpful anytime you feel yourself starting to spin in too many directions or need to rest from a busy lifestyle. Wood betony helps calm feelings of hysteria, it relieves stress and irritability by easing tension.  It helps to move energy and blood and can clear your mental pallet helping with brain fog and headaches.  Hawthorn and motherwort are superior heart tonics that helps calm the sympathetic nervous system. They help you create healthy boundaries, and strengthen your inner voice. They evoke a sense of kindness, peace and acceptance into the heart. Lemonbalm is a classic nervine that calms your central nervous system to ease the mind and help you wind down, great for people who are always on the go.

 
Before Bed: a blend of fresh california poppy and skullcap (made with local, organic vodka and herbs).  ~40% alcohol, 1:4 herb to menstruum ratio.  Both of these herbs are known to help lessen anxiety, relax your nervous system, calm your body and mind. Milky Oat Tops:  Make your nervous system sing with the help of beautiful milky oats.  One of my go to, favorite herbs.  Cooling and nutritive, oat tops are from the same plant as oats, only harvested immaturely before they form full blown oatmeal.  Known for revitalizing an overloaded, exhausted nervous system.  Helpful anytime you feel yourself starting to spin in too many directions or need to rest from a busy lifestyle. Motherwort Elixir: Motherwort, the lion heart. A superb tonic herb known for heart health and also a superior aid with women’s health. Traditionally used for menstrual irregularities (late or scanty periods, cramps, water retention) and also on the other end of the spectrum with menopausal symptoms. Great for postpartum to help with sleepless stress. It always evokes a sense of kindness, peace and acceptance into the heart. Let’s face it, having babies is an amazing gift but your life will never be the same. Motherwort helps. FYI: it is an emmenagogue so not to be used during pregnancy. Made with beautiful fresh plant material, raw honey (because motherwort is a bitter herb) and local, organic vodka.  Be well, you are a lioness. Stamina: a blend of oat tops, nettles and schisandra (made with local, organic vodka). ~40% alcohol, 1:4 herb to menstruum ratio. The herbs:
Oat tops: are  rich in calcium and trace minerals that help balance and calm the nervous system.
Nettles: are vitamin powerhouses, rich in calcium, iron, vitamin c and a, zinc and more. They can help detoxify your body and increase energy levels.
Schisandra: a prized adaptogen. Beneficial to the adrenals and the liver. They help destress your body and keep your immune system strong.
